CO/OP Goods & Eats

It was a weekend without a definite schedule so most of it went to doing house chores. After Saturday's series of chores, we decided to get a quick break and visit the newly opened CO/OP in San Juan. The design and architecture of the place got me curious that's why I asked Mr. T if we could go there for our merienda.

The place is actually pretty easy to find especially if you are familiar in the San Juan area. You'll immediately notice the wide front yard of CO/OP with it's industrial restaurant concept as a background.

The full height glass, high ceiling, steel frames and roof are really refreshing. It is definitely something different from our typical restaurant designs.

The interior of CO/OP is equally impressive. It's surprising how the kitsch blended well with the industrial modern concept of its exterior architecture.

It does not only serve food, which I will share more later, but it's also a gift shop offering a lot of unique items. Mostly are for the home like wall clocks, frames, jewelry holders, and a whole lot  more.

Jewelry Holders

I love this gigantic clothes pin table number holder. :)

Moving forward, as I have mentioned earlier, we wanted to get some merienda before our stroll around the mall. The choices in the menu is pretty limited if I may say but I guess it goes with the whole concept of the place. Mr. T and I decided to just get the Beef Brisket Sandwich, Mac and Cheese and a slice of Chocolate Cake.

Beef Brisket Sandwich | 390Php
The sandwich serving is pretty big, that's why I think it's good enough for two. It came with some yam fries and a small portion of green salad. The beef and cheese were sandwiched in between thick slices of French Toast. It was good but I found the bread a bit too greasy.

Mac and Cheese | 390Php

We loved everything about this Mac and Cheese! :) Even Ava enjoyed sharing this with us. The pasta was al dente, bacon bits were nice and crunchy and the cheese was definitely not overwhelming.

Chocolate Cake | 150Php

I give the review of this one for Mr. T because he absolutely loves chocolate cakes. According to him, this one is really good. And I think even Ava agrees. :)

We really loved the whole vibe and the ambience of CO/OP. Service was great too, food came out fast and the staff were really friendly. The food was definitely not bad either. The only thing is, the pricing is really high. I just hope they adjust their pricing or their serving a bit because they really have a nice place great for hanging out with families and friends. I think it appeals to both the adult and the young crowd.
